Summit: Elbrus - Entry + Medal
Collect your gear. Set out for Russia. Meet your guide and plan your route. There are two ways up this mountain: The South and North routes. This is a challenging climb, taking most climbers at least 3-5 days on the South route, and 6-8 days on the North Route. You will have to battle bad weather, poor visibility, and low oxygen levels to reach the summit.
Stretching from the Black Sea in the east all the way to the Caspian Sea in the West, the watershed of the Greater Caucasus has traditionally been the dividing line between Europe and Asia. Mount Elbrus is the prize peak, the highest point in Europe at 5,642m (18,510 ft). Grab your shoes and find some hills; it is time to test your mettle against the mountain and earn your medal at the summit.
Can you conquer Elbrus, or will the mountain conquer you?
